The CJR Memorial Foundation is operated in memory of Caleb Joseph Regenski who passed away 6 years ago at age 2 1/2 from brain cancer. Until now, our 501(c)(3) has raised substantial funds for the Ronald McDonald House and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. This year we have taken a new direction and are building a beautiful memorial playground in Hawley, PA. The playground will be handicapped accessible and cater to a wide range of children's ages and abilities. CJR was awarded over $230,000 in grant money for our project by the Department of Community and Economic Development! We are independently continuing to fundraise for upgraded surface materials (a poured rubber base that strollers and wheelchairs can easily use) and accessories including benches, walkways, lighting and more. Our largest event is a golf outing scheduled for April 21st where over 150 golfers and 200 dinner guests will eagerly participate in a silent auction/raffle. This is our fifth annual golf outing. We have had wonderful support and response in the past and hope to make this event particularly exciting so that our fundraising goals are achieved.
