Description

We are organizing an event called Community Conversations that will take place in Nashville, TN on Saturday, July 16th. The conversation will focus on the rise in violent crime in Nashville, particularly the steady rise of sexual assaults. We are inviting several other nonprofit organizations and community leaders, as well as members of the community, for a round table style conversation. We will also show short movies (anywhere between 3-5 minutes) and a 30 minute video of a PBS episode that features our founder and the organization. These will give community members information on how to protect themselves, spread awareness and show what we are doing to try and make the community safer.

We will also have music and a popcorn machine (popcorn is free) and we are encouraging those who attend to bring a picnic, nonalcoholic drinks and camp chairs or a blanket. There is a playground for children, and we will have sidewalk chalk available and bubbles for children as well.

We are running radio ads for the event.  Radio stations Lighting 100, 106.5 The River and Jack FM will each be airing ads for the event - an advertising value of $900. Donors who donate $300 worth of items or money will be acknowledged in the radio adds which will reach a minimum of 200,000 unique individuals based on average daily listeners for the three stations.
