Last year our team crafted the 120th Anniversary of the Village of Dannemora Celebration.  It was extremely successful with the community and is still being talked about with glowing review!  We wouldn’t have been able to hold this event without the support from our sponsorships. 

We are extremely excited to bring the joy back to our community and inspire a new generation!  This year we are looking to continue the idea with Dannemora Village Fest! 

The tentative lineup we are organizing:

Thursday, July 14th – All about the animals! (pet adoption)

Friday, July 15th – Movie Night at the Gazebo, entertainment, and food trucks

Saturday, July 16th – Village-wide garage sale, EXPO for business/vendors, food trucks, musical entertainment, and fireworks

Sunday, July 17th – Village-wide garage sale, parade, musical entertainment, and children’s activities

ABOUT US:

Out of the celebration, we officially created the Village Beautification Committee within Dannemora.  The Mission of the Village Beautification Committee is to focus on enhancing the quality of life and promote pride within our community.  These events help us fundraise to help the committee invest it right back into the beautification of our community.    

This past year our committee has accomplished these key items:

Pumpkin Fest – First-time ever event with offering free pumpkins for children, supporting local business as vendors, and offering fun festival games for children to win prizes.

Trunk R Treat – First-time ever event with over 600+ kids and received free candy and with a fun decorating contest for the trunks

Village Tree Lighting – First-time ever event with opportunities to get your picture with Santa, ride in a horse drawn-wagon, carolers, and free hot chocolate.

Investing back into the Community -   Sprucing up sections of the parks/gazebo area; actively involved with the development of a new dog and family park in Dannemora; updated movie screen and projector, improvements with lighting on the walking path, and organizing the 2022 year of events.
