We are excited to announce the Diamonds in the Garden Gala, a celebration of the Center for Family Resources’ 60th anniversary impacting the lives of low-income Cobb County families. Proceeds from the gala will be invested in the organization’s operations and work to move people to self-sufficiency through financial stabilization, housing and education.Please join us in our support of the Center for Family Resourcesby donating an item to the Diamonds in the Garden Gala auction.

Funds raised at the gala help enable the Center for Family Resources to serve more than 10,000 low-income Cobb County residents annually. The Center knows that poverty comes in many forms, with many different causes. Through the organization’s programs, families with dependent children are provided with services and a continuum of care that helps prevent homelessness and addresses homelessness when it happens, giving families hope for a better future.

In 2018, the Center for Family Resources served more than 12,300 individuals in Cobb County. The organization prevented homelessness for or housed a total of 221 families representing a total of 711 parents and children. 6,018 people, including 3,326 children, received food from the organization’s food pantry and Thanks for Giving program, and 84 students registered for the organization’s GED program.

In 2019 the gala raised more than $345,000 to support the Center for Family Resources’ operations and mission-aligned work.Gala auction item donations alone raisedalmost $83,000 for the organization.The Diamonds in the Garden Gala is scheduled for the evening of Saturday, March 14, 2020.  If you are providing gift certificates or vouchers, we ask that they are good for at least six months after our event.
