Shelbyville Senior Services and Girls Inc. of Shelbyville/Shelby County provide services and programs to a full spectrum of youth and seniors in Shelby and surrounding counties. A collaboration between the two organizations means a broader reach to supporters of both organizations, awareness centered around generations, and a long-term commitment to impacting the lives from early to advanced ages within the community.

Girls Inc. delivers life-changing programs and experiences that allows girls to overcome serious barriers to grow up strong, smart, and bold. A combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships, a pro-girl environment, and reseach-based programming equips girls to lead a fulfilling and productive life, break the cycle of poverty, and become role models in our community. Girls Inc. provides after school programs, summer camps, in-school programs, gymastics, and sports camps to girls of all ages.

Shelby Senior Services Inc. responds to the ever-changing needs of seniors and their families, affects in positive ways their quality of life, and assists them in maintaining their independence. Many services are available to seniors in our community such as day and evening programs, health education and screenings, trips, and transportation services. these services in our community provide senior adults an opportunity to remain active and healthy with a quality of life they deserve.

The Board of Directors of Girls Inc. and the Board of Directors of Shelby Senior Services will host a combined donor event on August 27th at Blessings Opera House. Donations to this event enables our organizations to continue delivering much-needed services to our seniors, girls, students, and families.
