The District 59 Education Foundation raises money to benefit the students in all of our 14 schools. Teachers submit grant requests for items they need to enrich and enhance the education of their student and based on the amount we earn through our efforts; teacher’s grants are fulfilled. In the past the foundation has been able to provide class sets of novels, accompanist fees for choirs, audio/visual aids for classroom, art supplies, physical education equipment, busing for cultural events, technology and many other supplies that teachers need to enhance leaning.   With our district having a vastly diverse population consisting of a large group of low-income students,   for many of our kids, school is the highlight of their day. We want to do all we can to help them all become a “Thinker, Dreamer, Doer”.

After a three-year  COVID hiatus, we are again able to hold our big fundraising event is called District 59’s Got Talent.   This show  will be held on April 15 at the Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights.  Two acts from each of our schools will be competing to be named the winner of this event. At the end of the night, winners will be selected based on their “votes”. In addition, we will have student artwork on display to highlight the talents of our students in all the Arts. During the evening we will be raffling off baskets of items to help  fund to help the grant requests. But we need things to put in those baskets.

That is where we could use your help. Previously,  we had 25 raffle baskets filled with amazing gifts. Because of our efforts, our Foundation was able to fulfill over $15,000 in grant requests to provide the extras to enhance the education and provide lifetime learning memories for students in District 59. Your tax-deductible donation to our raffle would help us this year to do even more for these deserving kids. All companies that donate will be listed in the program that evening, posters at the event, and will be listed on our Facebook page and website. Please send your donation to:
