Description

Dear Charitable Giving Director:

We are seeking your support as an auction item donor for an event benefiting the Disaster Recovery International (DRI) Foundation.  Our auction benefit cocktail reception will be held at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas on February 28, 2017, raising money to help communities prepare for and recover from disasters. We expect over 400 attendees from around the world.

As a registered 501(c)3, the DRI Foundation contributes towards disaster recovery efforts and promotes disaster risk reduction awareness.  Thanks to the support from donors like you, the Foundation works hard to fulfill its vision of seeing resilient communities worldwide. For example, following the flooding in northern Texas earlier this year that caused damage to several communities, the DRI Foundation donated to a local charity that worked to help 150 families to get back on their feet. These funds also supported displaced and homeless families. In Atlanta, over 50 volunteers came together to paint and provide maintenance at the Home Front Veterans Assistance Center and to sort and box donations at the Atlanta Community Food Bank. As a result, over 8,000 pounds of food were sorted to make 5,825 meals. Finally, to promote disaster preparedness among the next generation, two scholarships were awarded. Grants were made to a high school senior and a college undergraduate.

We hope that you will kindly support our cause by donating an item of interest to our Auction Benefit at DRI2017. This may include:

  • Signed memorabilia
  • Tickets to an event (post March 2017)
  • Gift certificates or any other charitable donations

In return for your generosity, we would like to offer the following promotional considerations:

  • Recognition on our website
  • Recognition on social media
  • Recognition at the event through signage and other materials

Please send your item by January 2, 2017 to:
