Faith on the Fairway is a charity golf and online silent auction event that serves the children of North Chicago, IL.  100% of online auction items proceeds go directly to the North Chicago Public Education Foundation (NCPEF) Lancer Warhawks Scholarship Fund.  The event takes place on 9/23/2023 at Foss Golf Park in North Chicago, IL

Donors interested in helping children in marginalized communities further their education will want to participate.  About 60% of North Chicago residents are  minorities, and about 21% live below the poverty line.  The students do not have money, or support to attend college on their own.  Faith on the Fairway (aka Faith Lutheran Church Lake Forest) has partnered with our neighboring community of North Chicago and their public school system because of the great financial need they have.  

The funds raised are used for a 2-year full-ride scholarship, with additioanl educational expenses covered, to the local College of Lake County.   Many students need to stay close to home to help their families, thus the local community college, College of Lake County is a good fit and very close to them.  They may study a trade or go for a degree.  It is their choice.  Prior to receiving the scholarship, the students meet with counselers to discuss the direction they would like to pursue.  Our church will continue to help the students with care and mentoring during their college years.  It's more than just money, it's about caring for the whole person and setting them up for success.  

Over the past two events, we raised over $75,000 for the students in North Chicago!  We hope to raise at least $30,000 in 2023.  Faith on the Fairway is a small team trying to do big things for North Chicago kids.  We go out to solicit donations the old fashioned way, through a lot of door knocking and grassroots efforts.   Your contribution will be a big deal to this cause.  Your company will be highlighted on our website, social media, facebook, etc.  As well our cheerful church congregation will do all it can to support your business.
