Feud on the Farm
Other Event Type for Kenosha Literacy CouncilJun 24, 2022 from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Each spring, the Kenosha Literacy Council brings the community together to participate in a wonderful fundraising event. We are thrilled to announce that our Feud on the Farm sponsored by Jerry Smith Pumpkin Farm will be held on Friday, June 24th, 2022.
Established in 1965, the Kenosha Literacy Council, a non-profit agency, trains volunteer tutors to teach adults, who want to learn to read, write and speak English. This year we are celebrating 57 years of providing literacy education to adults in Kenosha County. Each year we provide thousands of hours of English literacy education to 500+ adult learners. 100% of the adult learners improved their English communication skills. Literate adults are able to contribute to their families and their communities, while improving their employment opportunities. The Kenosha Literacy Council is registered as a 501(c) 3 charitable organization with the Internal Revenue Service, so donations are tax deductible.
Our silent auction is always a highlight of our spring fundraiser, and we hope to include many local items to promote Kenosha-area businesses. The purpose of this letter is to ask your organization to donate a gift certificate and/or a small basket of items. Approximately 200 people are expected to attend the event which is the Kenosha Literacy Council’s biggest fundraiser. One hundred percent (100%) of the proceeds support the Council’s English literacy programs.
