We are having a Fish-Fry and Silent Auction on September 24th to raise money to provide toddlers and elementary-aged children with an opportunity to grow and learn. Please consider donating items to help us continue to impact the lives of the children in our community.

Our town of 2,000 does not have a public library. To help fill some of those needs in the community missing because of that, we began something called, “Toddler-Time.” In partnership with Parents As Teachers, last year on a limited basis we had a "Toddler-Time" where children not yet in school could come and hear a story, sing some songs, have a snack, and do a craft. Last year our initial goal was to have about 6-8 kids per Toddler-Time. We averaged 20 and at times had as many as 27 kids.

We are expanding this school year (more than doubling the number of Toddler-Times for this upcoming school year) to have one each Wednesday at that school is in session. The parents have spoken, they want the program and we are going to provide it for them! Last year this took place in a local coffee shop. Due to the growth experienced it will be moved to our church. Because we will have more space, we will also be able to incorporate a game into our time as well.

In addition to Toddler-Time, we will be starting an after school club called “Kids for Christ” or KFC for short. This will allow us to continue to build relationships with students and provide them a safe, fun environment to learn and grow. While all elementary students are invited to KFC, for those that attend Toddler-Time until they reach elementary age, this will be that “next step” or their continuation of growing closer to us and each other. We believe that to have a strong community requires strong relationships. That is what both of these programs do. This fundraiser will raise the funds to support these vital programs.

We will have a list of sponsors that we will publically advertise and at the event the sponsors will rotate through on a large TV that everyone can see and your company will also be listed on the item and all advertising done for the silent auction.
