The Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Alamo Mission Chapter continues to strive to serve its mission of bolstering community pride, inspiring individual achievements, and encouraging the apprecition of Texas History. We invite you to Partner with us at our For the Love of Texas Sweetheart Luncheon. Our luncheon with have the award winning Justice Ken Wise, host of the Texas History Podcast "Wise about Texas". On this special day, guests will get indulged in the love and dreams that seduced so many to this great state. This event will raise funds to help keep the spirt of Texas alive by assisting us in the continued perservation of Texas History through the events we hold honoring the Texas Honor Days.

March 2nd - Texas Independence Day - A ceremony to commemorate Texas Independence. AMC commemorates this day through honoring locals schools each year at the Alamo.

March 6th - Alamo Heroes Day - A ceremony to honor the fallen heroes of the Alamo. This solemn ceremony begins with 13 rings from the historic bell symbolizing the 13 day siege. Flags representing the wealth of the nations and states from which the Alamo defenders hailed are presented by Airmen from Lackland Air Force Base.

April 22nd - Pilgrimage to the Alamo - A tribute to the fallen soldiers of the Alamo. This silent procession led by the Daighters of th eRepublic of Texas, Alamo Mission Chapter. The area military commands, civic & fiesta communities, historic, patriotic, lineage and educational organizations join the Daughters, Sons, and Children of the Republic of Texas in the procession to the Alamo. Each group presents a floral memorial tribute that is paced reverently and ceremoniously in front of the shrine.

Along with the Honor Days, the funds raised at this event will also support the education of our youth through our annual Texas History essay contest and college scholarship program as well as the presentation of historic artifacts.
