The Friends of the Library Mount Dora funds critical children's programs at Mount Dora's W. T. Bland Public Library such as story time (6 days per week) and the summer reading program. Over 12,000 children participatged in at least one program in the past year. Last year we funded 38 on-going programs including the Dinosaur Lobby Experience, Chick Hatching Experience, Head Start Outreach (33 children receive a book each month). In 2024 we will be funding the Storybook walk at Forest Preserve.
