Description

I am inquiring in the hope that you will please consider donating (an) item(s) for our silent auction fundraiser.

The Poor Household of God (https://www.poorhouseholdofgod.org/) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that is based in the Chicago suburbs and raises funds for the Oikos Sisters. These Sisters are a small community of nuns in the Philippines who have dedicated their lives to serving the poor. At present, they have three rescue homes committed to providing a safe haven for children who have been orphaned, abused, abandoned, or rescued from extreme poverty. They also reach out to the distant villages providing typhoon relief and self-sustaining programs of growing vegetable gardens, feeding the malnourished, providing education, dental care, and medications, and more - all geared toward meeting immediate needs and then breaking the terrible cycle of poverty!

This fundraiser will be an in-person event on August 4, 2023, along with an online silent auction starting the week prior and ending during the event.  The sign and item description will name your company as the donor, thereby giving you publicity.  This is our only large fundraising event of the year, and 100% of all proceeds go directly to the charity.

This cause is very dear to my heart, as I have visited the Sisters many times in the Philippines and witnessed what a difference their programs make in the lives of the people there.  I would be very grateful for your consideration.
