Seneca Gospel Mission takes great pleasure in inviting you to attend our Gala suporting our Rise Coffeehouse Teen Work Readiness training program.  Together we are transforming young lives and investing in our community's future!  Seating is limited so get your tickets today.   

The success of last years gala allowed us to secure a location on Hertel Ave. and begin remodeling.  The money raised this year will go towards furnishings, equipment and supplies needed to open.  Desmond Tutu said; "there comes a point where we need to stop just pulling people out of the river.  We need to go upstream and find out why they're falling in".  Our Rise program goes upstream to address the lack of employment skills amongst disadvantaged teens, a key indicator as to how successful in life a person will ultimately be.  Rise Coffeehouse will use Christian principles of love and grace to provide underserved teens with both soft and hard job skills training.  Rise will also teach and assist teens with job applications, resume writing, interviewing, and job placement.  

Rise is unique in that it provides a platform for kids to learn and then practice job skills in a real world business environment.  Hands on learning is arguably the best method for teaching youth new concepts.  As with all of Seneca Gospel Missions programs and ministries, Rise will strive to educate, equip, and empower teens with skills, knowledge, and Jesus Christ for a completely new way of life.
