Dear Neighbor, On Saturday, April 20th, 2024, HABLA Friends of River Glen will hold our eleventh annual gala benefiting River Glen School’s K-8, Spanish-English dual language immersion program.

Gala Encanto will be an extraordinary night with dinner, DJ, silent auction, and plenty of enchanted entertainment taking place at Encanto restaurant in San Jose. Please consider helping by donating an item to our silent auction!

Your donation ensures that our children receive the highest quality educational experience, including an award winning bilingual music program, bi-weekly art classes, science workshops, a state-of-the-art library, and more.

About River Glen’s Spanish-English Dual Immersion Program River Glen School, located in the Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose, offers K-8 students the unique and exciting opportunity of learning to communicate fluently in two languages, Spanish and English. It is a Title l, public-magnet school in the San Jose Unified School District that was established in 1986. It is a model for similar programs within the School District and across the country. River Glen has about 55 students per grade level (K-8), which makes our student population around 500. The school's goal is to educate students to be bilingual and biliterate and enable them to meet the challenges of a global society. The River Glen Two-Way Bilingual Immersion Program has received a national award of Academic Excellence and is a California Distinguished School.
