The Mustaches Are BACK! 
Hello Everyone! I mustache you a question and I cannot shave it for later. For the past seven years now, we have challenged our community to grow facial hair in support of Gilda’s Club Rochester. Are you up for the challenge again this year? With over 100 participants last year, Rochestarians happily joined the cause and raised over $12,000 for the cancer support charity. 
 
For this November, we are once again challenging the entire Rochester-area community to take part in the 8th Annual Mustaches for Cancer Event to raise money for Gilda’s Club.   
 
What Do I Have to Do? 
Now obviously, we cannot all grow mustaches.  However, there are several ways to participate: 
 
Gentlemen Willing to Grow Facial Hair - Using the following link (https://mustachesforcancer2021.causevox.com/) you can create your very own fundraising page to share with co-workers, family, friends and on social media.  Once you have created your own page, please make sure you join the CBI Team under the “Manage Page” option.  Sponsors could donate $/day, lump sums, or, to be more creative, sponsors could donate for you to grow a specific facial hair style (soul patch, chin strap, evil cartoon villain mustache…you get the idea). It’s one less task that you’d have to complete in the morning, so there’s no excuse not to join the cause! 
 
No Facial Hair, NO PROBLEM! Be a sponsor!  Find a colleague, friend or family member and convince them to grow facial hair for a great cause.  Or, you can simply donate to the cause or in honor of someone you know that has been affected by cancer.   
 
There is no monetary minimum for a donation and participation is 100% voluntary.  
 
What is Gilda’s Club? 
Gilda's Club provides a meeting place for men, women and children living with cancer, along with their family and friends. They join with others to build social and emotional support as a supplement to medical care.  Free of charge and non-profit, Gilda's Club offers support and networking groups, lectures, workshops and social events in a non-residential, homelike setting. The organization is also beginning programs within the local hospitals and cancer centers to allow for support during the toughest moments in treatment. OK, I’m Hooked!  What Now? 
 
TIMING:  The Mustaches for Cancer campaign kicks off November 1 and will conclude on December 1.  
 
DONATING:  Donations can be accepted via cash, check or credit card. 
Checks:  Checks should be made out to “Gilda’s Club Rochester”.
Credit:  Gilda’s Club has created a fundraising website for the Mustaches for Cancer event for all those wishing to donate via credit card.
 
TAXES:  Regardless of how you donate, everyone will receive a signed letter from Gilda’s Club noting the amount of your donation to be used when filing your 2021 tax returns.
