Every year at Crossroads, we mark this day of giving to thank our supporters in some way. At the same time, we are always elated to see donations coming in on this day, starting the wave of final gift for the tax year. We use this day to launch our end-of-year annual campaign.

Annually, Crossroads helps upwards of 120 children and their families from all over the region. The necessity of giving the children that we serve the skills that are so essential to their success in life is something we can't do without help from our community. We are making a difference here, one day at a time, and help is always needed to make this happen.

Giving Tuesday is a global day for charitable giving that many are familiar with. Crossroads has participated each year and looks forward to this day as an opportunity to have our message seen and our mission supported financially by donors looking for charitable giving opportunities.
Giving Tuesday follows Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday as a day to focus on generosity and giving to nonprofits.  
Giving Tuesday connects the forces of nonprofits throughout the world and through our local commmunity, raising awareness and essential funds for the work nonprofits do.
We are hopeful to have Giving Day support of our wonderful community to help make the world a better place for children and families living with autism and other neuro-developmental special learning needs.

Get SOCIAL:Share and share alike. Online days of giving are successful because of our own networks. Help us grow our network by sharing and communicating to your network.
Be socially (media) active. Use your social media networks: post on Facebook, tweet about  #GivingTuesday and share your love for your particular passion for education, autism, speech, OT, PT, ABA, fundraising, and so on. Share posts and events posted on Crossroads' channels. Ask others to do the same.
VOLUNTEER: While we are always interested in growing our volunteer program, for this special day, we are looking for volunteers to help with projects just for Giving Tuesday.Ambassadors - help by creating a Giving Tuesday fundraiser on any of your social pages, and sharing our content.
Art leaders - help by helping students make hand-print cards that we can send out to our major supporters for the holidays.

What do we do here that day?

Child IDs: The Rotterdam Police Department will be with us this day to do Child IDs. Parents and guardians, watch for a  form coming home in backpacks for you to fill out and return to the school. These will be needed for our staff to allow the officers to photograph and create the id.
Create: Card-making will be done in the cafeteria. We have a group of volunteers to come and help with hand-printing.
Raise money: Giving Tuesday Auction: On Givebutter, coming soon. New Merchandise on our Bonfire Store: Donations made on Giving Tuesday will be applied to our Capital Campaign for A Building Of Our Own. 
Share resources: Every hour for 24 hours, we will share a resource with you on our Facebook page.
