On June 28th, Golf Fore the Kids will host a foursome scramble golf tournament, held on two 18 hole courses at the Blackledge Country Club in Hebron, CT.  A reception and dinner immediately following the golf tournament includes a raffle and a silent auction.

The mission of Golf Fore the Kids is to promote research to find a cure for childhood cancer; increase public awareness about the severity and prevalence of childhood cancer; and provide various forms of assistance to children diagnosed with cancer to lessen the emotional and financial impact of treatment on them and their families.  With only 4% of the federal government’s cancer research funding going to childhood cancer, every bit of privately raised funding means a great deal.  Therefore, the funds we raise go to three places: the Clinical Trials Program at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center; the Jimmy Fund (Dana-Farber Cancer Institute); and the Hole-in-the-Wall-Gang Camp.  We are a volunteer organization, so 100% of the money raised goes to benefit the cause.
