Has anyone you know been hurt by the hands of someone they love? Haven House is one of only two domestic violence shelters in Lake County. We have been assisting the Northwest region of Indiana for over 40 years. Last year alone, we provided crisis intervention and emergency services to 247 adults and children fleeing from domestic violence.

This year Haven House is hosting a Chili Cook-off as a fundraising event. We will be hosting this event on September 16, 2023 at Wicker Park in Highland IN. This event is open to the community. We will be selling chili, have "themed" gift baskets for raffle and be holding a silent auction. We will have a volunteer providing face painting for the children free of charge and we will be having a volleyball tournament.  The money raised from this event will be used for our outreach to youth prevention efforts, and the youth program we are building inside the shelter.
