As the primary resource for people experiencing hunger and food insecurity in Montgomery County, Maryland, Manna strives to end hunger through food distribution, education, and advocacy. In 2023, Manna supported over 50,000 of our neighbors at 25 distribution sites and 32 pop up pantries throughout our county. Manna also provided 97,305 bags of Smart Sack weekend food at 56 elementary schools. In addition, Manna partners with 29 farms to procure fresh produce for distribution as well as partnering in community food rescue and providing community education in the form of cooking classes and workshops to participants throughout the county.

Our Heroes Against Hunger award reception on May 8 will celebrate individuals and organizations that have made unique contributions to the fight against hunger in the past year. At the reception, we will also host a silent auction to help support programs at Manna. Donors will be contributing to this important cause of ending hunger and food insecurity in our county and will have positive visibility in front of attendees at the gala and viewers of the Manna Food Center website.
