Description

Our annual FNVW Holiday Fair is the first weekend in December. It is our largest fundraising event of the year, drawing hundreds of attendees. The revenue from this event allows us to continue to provide our life changing violence prevention programs into the new year. Many vendors bring their crafts to sell at the Holiday Fair, some donate all their proceeds to FNVW and others pay a tabling fee. It is held at a local school and is advertising heaviily.

With support from local businesses like yours, FNVW can continue to:

·       Lead workshops on nonviolent conflict transformation in prisons, jails and in the community through our Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) program. We’re excited to share that we will soon offer AVP workshops for youth through partnerships with schools and community organizations.

·       Produce the Everyday Nonviolence Podcast which tells the stories of people using nonviolence to transform themselves and the world around them.

·       Run a week-long, intergenerational, peace themed, summer camp called People Camp.

·       Host community dialogues and workshops on topics such as addressing gender-based violence and creating community safety.

·       Build power for social change through relational organizing and by working in coalition with others.
