Common Pantry is Chicago’s longest-operating food pantry; founded in 1967. It’s Common Pantry’s mission to meet the emergency needs of the local community by providing healthy food, kinship and support to help overcome poverty-related challenges.  It’s been an incredible, action packed year for Common Pantry and we couldn’t have done it without the community’s support!  Not only is Common Pantry helping 40% more people than before the pandemic, but we are also starting the renovation of a new facility which will allow us to expand services.

Common Pantry will celebrate its annual I Am Your Neighbor party at Artifact Events on Friday, October 14.  The community will unite at this event to raise much needed funds to support Common Pantry and the evening promises to be fun, entertaining and engaging. 

We need your help!  It takes a neighborhood to procure fantastic items for the Silent and Premium Auctions and donated auction items are essential to the success of the event.  As neighbors, Common Pantry volunteers and I Am Your Neighbor committee members, we would like to respectfully request your help.  Please consider making an in-kind donation of an item, experience or a gift certificate.  Your efforts and donation are much needed and will make an enormous contribution towards supporting Common Pantry’s mission and many services.
