Every March, MashUp Contemporary Dance Company, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit committed to uplifting women-identifying artists while building community through dance, produces the International Women’s Day Dance Festival - 4 days of performances, workshops, discussions, dance film screenings, and more that amplifies and celebrates women’s voices in dance while envisioning a more equitable future in the arts and beyond. Held at venues throughout Los Angeles and online, the festival features work from over 30 womxn choreographers, involves over 100 women-identifying artists, and regularly welcomes over 300 community members across its various events.

A Gala held during the Festival serves as its primary fundraiser. Featuring special speaker, performances, time to honor two exemplary women in LA dance, DJ, dessert, libations, and more, attendees are invited to party and celebrate women artists while helping ensure the International Women’s Day Dance Festival can continue in years to come.
