Since 1909, NAACP supporters have been vigilant and vigorous defenders of civil rights for all Americans. There isn’t a person, community, or state in America that hasn’t been touched by the NAACP. We’ve made tremendous progress on important issues, but much more work must be done. Through the Fairfax County NAACP Freedom Fund event, we seek to continue our activism on major areas of inequality, exclusion, and discrimination facing African Americans and other minority groups that are the focus of the NAACP’s work, including the following: 

·       Economic Sustainability

·       Education

·       Health

·       Public Safety and Criminal Justice

·       Voting Rights and Political Representation

Through the Fairfax County NAACP Branch Freedom Fund event on September 23rd, we seek to raise funds to continue our mission. As a community, your support is essential to fulfilling our goals. Therefore, we greatly appreciate any financial contribution that you can provide to our branch. You can support us by making a monetary donation (from $5 to $5,000) or contributing gift certificates, food/drinks, services, or other items. You can also sponsor a community program we assist with.

When you make a charitable gift to the NAACP, you will receive the satisfaction of supporting an important cause, the excitement of seeing your gift lead to positive change, and—in many cases—tangible financial benefits to you and/or another beneficiary, through tax advantages. Additionally, when you give more than $100 worth of support, your organization will be recognized in our digital program that will be shared at the event. When you give more than $500, your charitable gift will also be featured on our website.
