We are a small (but mighty) nonprofit local to Chicago. Our foundation was created to honor the work of Jennie, a high school math teacher in CPS. Jennie was dedicated to impacting the youth of our city and inspiring a love of learning in her students. Tragically in 2017, we lost Jennie to triple negative breast and we strive to keep both her spirit and work alive through the JGS Foundation.

Here’s where you come in! We are on the hunt for donations, big or small or anything in between for our 7th Annual JGS Gala: Cartoon Chaos on October 20, 2023. Specifically, we are searching for in-kind donations or sponsors to help support.

As of June 2023, JGS supports 10 scholarship recipients (check out a message from them directly) attending a wide range of schools such as the University of Michigan, University of Illinois, University of Wisconsin, UIC, Pomona College, and others. We aim to continue to support these remarkable students through college and beyond as they strive to impact their community positively. Additionally, we provide medical research grants for triple negative breast cancer research.
