John Howard Association Annual Event
Other Event Type for John Howard AssociationOct 26, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
JHA is pleased to announce our Annual Event, which this year will take place on Wed October 26th at 5pm. Excitingly, we’re planning to return to an in-person event after a two-year hiatus due to COVID; this year's event will be during cocktail hour with beverages and appetizers. However, as COVID seems to be never-ending, we will also offer a virtual option for those who would prefer to attend remotely. Between the two options, we hope to host 300+ people once again. Our audience is comprised of donors, volunteers, corporate and nonprofit leaders, criminal justice advocates, attorneys, formerly incarcerated people, corrections officials, legislators, and students.
We are thrilled to have secured Keri Blakinger of The Marshall Project as our keynote speaker. Dedicated to writing about prisons/jails, Keri has just released her memoir Corrections in Ink about her journey, which includes her own incarceration and how that has informed her work today. She will share her thoughts in a fireside chat.
JHA will also announce our 2022 Annual Award winners - including Volunteer of the Year and Legislator of the Year.
This event is JHA's largest fundraising event of the year.
