KiteFlite is the culmination of months that our families have been fundraising through individual teams. Each year, we encourage members to create a team and spending the months of May, June and July getting donations from their friends and families. In August we celebrate their efforts, recongize one family as the ambassador of the event and have a great time! The event takes place at a local amusement park where we include a raffle, tie-dying, crafts and "ride buddies" for our kids who's guardian is unable to ride with them. Funds from the event go back to our families with equipment for programming, special programming for sibilings, support groups for caregivers and free family events.  Our Full Life Academy is for participants who have aged beyond traditional schooling, teaching them how to foster independence.
