Established in 1926, the La Ballona PTA is a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to advocate for children and to help strengthen our school and community. In addition to advocacy, we raise funds to pay for field trips, assemblies, art supplies, teachers' grants, dance instructors, costumes, and school beautification. We also support our teachers with books, supplies and volunteers. The La Ballona PTA is committed to providing a great school year for our kids, especially if it is 100% virtual and distance learning.

La Ballona Elementary School is a Title 1 School located in Culver City, California with 600 students from transitional kindergarten to 5th grade who are enrolled in both English-only and Spanish bilingual programs. As a Title 1 school, at least 58% of our student population come from low-income families.

We had to cancel our Fall Festival, so we are only having an online auction this year. We realize this is a difficult year for raising funds, but we hope to raise $15,000 to go towards virtual assemblies, virtual field trips, virtual enrichment classes, and the backpack program which gives a backpack of non-perishable food for the weekend, for any child who needs it.
