The La Ballona PTA is a non-profit organization that’s main purpose is to advocate for children and to help strengthen our schools and communities. In addition to advocacy, PTA raises funds to pay for field trips, assemblies, school supplies, teachers' grants and school beautification.
The La Ballona PTA supports our teachers with books, supplies and volunteers. We host many great school events like PTA meetings, Family Fun Nights, Reflections Art Contest, the Kindergarten ice cream social, The Fall Festival, 5th grade picnic and our biggest and best event of the year the International Extravaganza where each class participates by performing a dance from a different country.
The mission of the La Ballona Elementary PTA is to:
1. Promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school and community.
2. To raise the standards of home life.
3. To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
4. To bring into closer relation the home and the school, the parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
5. To develop, between educators and the general public, such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental and social education.
