A.D.O.P.T. is a a private, nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter that provides medical services and everyday care to homeless animals while they wait for their forever homes.  I’m writing in regards to our annual Labor Day Raffle that we have coming up.  This is a fundraiser for our shelter that we have been holding for over 25 years.

This is where you come in!  We are asking for raffle items or gift certificates to include in raffle baskets.  No gift is too small or large.  We will take your generous donation and create beautiful gift packages to help A.D.O.P.T. raise much-needed funds to continue expanding our animal welfare programs and ensuring every animal stays healthy as they wait for their forever families.  

At A.D.O.P.T. we depend on our community partners as key contributors in our fundraising efforts.  We are happy to publicize our donors through our social media pages which have over 16,000 followers.  Our Labor Day mailer is sent out to 3,000 people and we estimate between 500-1000 people will take part in the raffle. 

Since 1989, A.D.O.P.T. has placed over 30,000 animals into loving homes.  In addition to an onsite shelter and network of private foster homes, we have a low-cost training center and veterinary clinic.  Open to the public, the clinic serves the community, other rescue groups and animals in our care.  The recent expansion of services offered enables us to help more animals than ever before.

We also offer temporary crisis foster-care to owners who are unable to care for their pet due to hospitalization, foreclosure, domestic violence, or another personal crisis.  We work with each pet owner to provide a safe, temporary home for their animals.
