We are asking for your support of the Iron Girl Project, Inc (IPG)  Laps for Lex Annual 5K run/1mile walk.  We are thrilled to be holding our second annual event and fundraiser at Lenape Park, Flemington NJ on Sunday June 5, 2022 at 8:30am

The Iron Girl Project was founded by the Karpinski family to honor Alexea "Lex" Karpinski, a varsity athlete and honor roll student at Hunterdon Central Regional High School who suddenly passed away unexpectedly in November 2020.  It supports high school student athletes in their journey to create their own legacy, one which has a positive impact on their teammates, families and communities.  The proceeds raised by Laps for Lex and other events will go towards scholarships for graduating senior athletics who demonstrate true grit, understand the value of teamwork and exhibit leadership on and off the athletic field.

Lex believed that every day was a chance to be greater than the day before, for herself, friends, teammates and coaches.  It was important to Lex to prove her worth and create a positive legacy.  All of our fundraising events are created with this in mind.  We hope to one day be able to offer multiple scholarships at many different high schools and expand our efforts to include providing funds and sporting equipment to kids in need, so they too can have the opportunity to creat their own legacy.
