The Iron Girl Project, Inc (IGP) was founded by the Karpinski family to honor Alexea "Lex" Karpinski, a varisity athlete and honor roll student at Hunterdon Central Regional High School, who passed away suddently in her junior year in November of 2020.  It supports high school student athletes in their journey to create their own legacy, one which has a positive impact on their teammates, families and communitites.  The proceeds raised by events will go towards scholarships for graduating senior athletes who demonstrate true grit, understand the value of team work and exhibit leadership on and off the athletic field.

Lex believed that every day was a chance to be greater than the day before, for herself, friends, teammates and coaches.  It was important to Lex to prove her worth and create a positive legacy.  All of our fundraising events are created with this in mind.  We hope to one day be able to offer multiple scholarships at many different high schools and expland our efforts to include providing funds and sporting equipment to kids in need, so they too can have the opportunity to create their own legacy.
