We are changing the lives of people by improving their quality of life as it relates to vision.  Examples include: we screened the vision of 12,000 children last year in schools and daycares with our Welsh Allyn SPOT vision screening device.  10% were referred for further evaluation.  For low income families we provide glasses and eye surgery if needed.  Teachers have reported children improving one grade level after receiving glasses.  We also send blind and low vision students to summer camp where they can be with their peers, learn new ways to cope and enhance their quality of life.  Last year, we sent a blind student to Space Camp and he now wishes to be an astrophysicist.  We open up worlds and enhance life and learning with our many programs.
