Lip Sync Battle is a fundraiser benefitting Project 16:49. Local community members join together to preform in the competition. Team’s are judged on their lip sync ability, appearance and stage presence, overall creativity, and crowd appeal/audience response. In addition to the unique entertainment, event attendees enjoy music trivia, 50/50 and awesome basket raffles, build-your-own nachos bar and other snacks, and a cash bar. Lip Sync Battle has raised between $30,000-$35,000 in years past. Proceeds from the event support Project 16:49’s mission of empowering Rock County’s unaccompanied homeless youth to take action to achieve their goals. Project 16:49 is a year-round resource for these youth. The organization assists with basic needs and provides case management to ensure youth have access to the services and support they need to complete their high school education and/or increase their life skills and self-sufficiency, as they transition to independent living.
