Description

Our names are Erin, Rick and Caden Rachwal. On February 14th , 2021, we lost our beloved 19-year-old son and
brother to a fentanyl poisoning . Logan was a soft-hearted, kind young man, a freshman in college. He was more
concerned with helping others than asking for help. Our family was aware Logan struggled with anxiety and
depression and we attempted professional help many times in different ways for him. Logan’s life was taken within
minutes by him ingesting one FAKE pill containing deadly illicit fentanyl; he had no idea, because the pill looked just
like a prescription pain pill. Since his passing, we have learned so much about the importance of prevention and
education about mental health, substance use and how fast addiction can grow. It is now our passion to bring
awareness to this #1 killer of Americans ages 18-45; the fentanyl crisis in America.

The Love, Logan Foundation is a 501(c)3: 88-3504577 , non-profit organization. Our mission focuses on raising
awareness by educating people on an understanding of mental health and the dangers of illicit fentanyl – primarily fake
pills. All funds raised from this outing will be used to further our prevention message which targets youth and young
adults because this is the fastest growing population dying from fake pills containing fentanyl. According to the CDC,
between 2019 and 2021, persons aged 10-19 experienced an increase in deaths related to fentanyl of 182% .
Funds will help us provide education, support, and educational materials in the form of a boxed, professionally
developed “toolkit.” This toolkit will be providing a better understanding of mental health, offering support while helping
the recipient learn coping skills for anxiety and depression and giving them knowledge on the dangers of substance
use and experimentation with pills. In Wisconsin alone, between 2019-2021, fentanyl related deaths increased by
almost 100%! Education is the prevention we need to stop people from taking substances that are killing too many.

On Monday, August 21, we will be holding The Love, Logan Inaugural Golf Outing at Fairways of Woodside in Sussex,
WI. The event will include a dinner following golfing. The event will have 144 golfers, up to an additional 50 dinner only guests, and 30 volunteers. We will raise money through a raffle, silent auction, and sponsorships/donations supporting the mission of prevention/education mentioned above. We ask that you consider a donation item or sponsorship to aid in our fundraising efforts.
