Description

We are writing to ask for your support for our Lupus Ontario Gala - Online Silent Auction. Once again, our silent auction will take place virtually, from March 27th to April 7th, 2024, culminating in the revival of our celebration event, the Lupus Ontario Gala – Spring Soirée in person on Saturday, April 6th at The Avenue in Vaughan.

The online event will feature a silent auction, 50/50 raffle and mystery bag sale. Our Online Silent Auction fundraising goal for 2024 is $15,000, with an overall Gala fundraising goal of $75,000.

To help us reach our goal, we would greatly appreciate it if you would consider donating a product or gift card/certificate, of any value, to be used in the fundraiser. In return, we would be happy to recognize your company name on the live Silent Auction platform with a link to your company website, and on Lupus Ontario’s social media profiles with a tag to your company’s social media. We ask that donations be received by no later than March 26.

Your donation will help us continue to fund lupus research and help spread much-needed awareness for this debilitating, under-recognized disease affecting approximately 1 in 1,000 Ontarians. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease where the body attacks itself causing inflammation, and pain, and can damage any organ in the body, leading to a variety of symptoms. This makes lupus difficult to diagnose. There is no known cure but if treated properly, it can be managed. Lupus Ontario has been supporting those with lupus for over 40 years by providing vital support, education, awareness, advocacy and research through fundraising efforts to help them live longer, healthier and better lives
