The Magical Mila Foundation was started in 2019 in memory of 17-month-old Mila Gray Roomberg, who passed away in 2019 from complications of Neurofibromatosis Type 1. Mila's parents have made it their life mission to raise awareness of NF1 and high blood pressure in high risk children under the age of three. Since 2019, together with Mila's doctors, her parents have brainstormed BP UNDER 3 at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where through clinical trials, they have validated improved technology obtaining accurate blood pressures on these young children. The MMF has led a culture shift at CHOP, at correct BP readings are up by 200%! We have raised $650,000 and we are just getting started! Our annual summer fundraiser at Maynard's in Margate, NJ attracts more than 500 people every year and has become a family event with food, drinks, live music, games, face painting and raffles/silent auction!
