Description

I am contacting you to inquire if Valleyfair would be willing to provide 2 regular single day Admission Tickets for a Silent Auction fundraiser being held by the Minnesota Future Problem Solving Program (MN FPSP).

FPSP teaches students how to think, not what to think, by teaching critical and creative thinking skills via a six step process.  Developing critical thinking skills helps students to improve their academic and social achievement while encouraging them to become agents of change in their communities. Students from 4th - 12th grade research contemporary problems and strategize solutions for those problems.

MN FPSP (http://www.mnfpsp.org/ has been holding a Silent Auction at the State Competition in support of the Legacy Project (https://www.mnfpsp.org/index.php/legacypr). The Legacy Project provides financial support to:

Registration and/or travel fees for the State champion students, who may not have the financial resources, to compete at the International Competition (https://www.fpspi.org/ic-information/)
Grants to assist implementation of Community Problem Solving Projects where student participants use the skills they learn in FPSP to address real life problems in their community
Currently this year's State Competition is planned to be a hybrid, with the written competition for Global Issues Problem Solving to be held virtually on April 1-2, followed by an onsite competition on April 9 at Apollo High School in St Cloud for Community Problem Solving, Visual Arts, Scenario Performances and the Global Issues Problem Solving Presentation of Action Plans. The Silent Auction is planned to open virtually in mid March and conclude at the onsite competition.

If Valley Fair would be willing to support the Silent Auction, the MNFPSP office can provide additional information, including documentation of non-profit status, tax identification number, address to ship the tickets etc.

Thank you for your time and attention.
