Description

Desoto, Texas-based non-profit Lighthouse Noir is set to host Mlk Cigar Night Fundraiser on
Saturday, 17th December 2022 at Allure Jazz & Cigar Lounge at 100 S. Corkrell, Desoto, Texas.
The entry fee is pegged at $10 only, and the gates will open at 8 PM.

As evident, the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service marks a turning point every year when
citizens from all corners of the nation decide to take action to make their communities more equal
and realize Dr. King's vision of the Beloved Community. Dr. King pushed for systemic change even
though he thought the Beloved Community was possible. The cigar night will be a golden
opportunity for people of the black community to build some comrades.

And this year, Lighthouse Noir is bringing the Martin Luther King Jr Cigar Night Fundraiser event
to the city of Desoto with the hope of raising money for the Desoto MLK Celebration. For a long
time, Lighthouse Noir has been working for the welfare of the black community in Desoto,
prompting opportunities by providing guidance and resources for its members who want to enter
the Tech industry. They have made several partnerships with tech firms and other companies that
are in need of entry-level staff with knowledge about software development, problem-solving,
product management, UI/UX, and others.

Speaking about the recent announcement, the founder of Lighthouse Noir stated, “Our goal is to
accelerate good change in Desoto by assisting and funding the tech education of members of the
black community. We equip them with the necessary knowledge and technological skills to land
jobs with various businesses that are active both inside and outside the neighborhood.
