This year we will be hosting a hybrid event with up to 100 people in-person at Old Stewart in White Bear Lake with passed hors o'dourves and drinks. The event will also be lived streamed for the presentation and fund-a-need. We will be having a silent auction online and a live auction at the event venue for those in-person. 

Our goal is to raise $32,000 with $10,000 coming from the auction. 

The funds will be used to help ease the isolation that aphasia brings. MnCAN is devoted to providing support and practice groups to enhance communication skills, develop relationships, and participate in life again. Some of the key initiatives are to:

• bolster staffing to increase programs, number at participants and general operational support for programs
• support new programs for adults with aphasia and primary progressive aphasia (PPA) such as a new additional support group for people with PPA, a Gavel toastmasters club for people with aphasia, coffee club and one -to- one communication partner program.
• provide needed scholarships for those needing financial support
