Moebius Syndrome Foundation Conference
Meeting/Networking for Moebius Syndrome FoundationJul 20, 2023 3:00 PM to Jul 23, 2023 12:00 PM
The Moebius Syndrome Foundation is hosting its 16th national conference on July 20-23, 2023 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Anticipating around 400 attendees, the event is held to support individuals and families (of all ages and demographics) living with Moebius syndrome, a rare neurological disorder, and offers attendees a unique opportunity to meet others living with the same condition, attend educational and social sessions, participate in private medical consultations with experts in the field, and receive invaluable resources and experiences.
Moebius syndrome causes facial paralysis, meaning that people born with it cannot smile, frown, move their eyes from side to side, blink, and swallowing issues, speech, limb differences, autism, and other symptoms are common. It is estimated that only 2 in a million births are impacted by Moebius syndrome, so it's very rare. This conference is a safe space for families and individuals of all ages to gather for the rare opportunity to connect, learn, and receive support in a safe and non-judgemental atmosphere.
