Across the nation, 9-1-1 dispatchers will be celebrating “National Public Safety Communications” week on April 14-20, 2024. This designated week honors all 9-1-1 dispatchers who answer the calls for help and provide emergency assistance to the public and the emergency public safety responders. Many people do not think about the nameless, faceless individuals until they need to call for help. These dedicated men and women respond to a wide range of emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These professionals are the true “first responders” and the most critical contact between the citizens of Frederick County and emergency services. We are asking for any donations that your company would like to supply the Communications Center (meals, gift certificates, services, etc…) to accommodate our 20 staff members during this National celebration in April. For donations that do not accommodate all of the dispatchers, a raffle will be held. Please take a moment and show your support and appreciation for the stressful job they perform everyday.
