Thank you for taking a moment to read our request for a donation towards the Newark Bait and Fly Casting Club (“NBFCC”) Tricky Tray fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024 at our local VFW in Kenilworth, New Jersey. We hope you can help us make this event a huge success! 

The NBFCC was first organized in April 1907 in a small fishing tackle shop in Newark, NJ and is now the oldest scientific angling and casting club in the eastern United States, as well as one of the oldest in the nation. Having recently celebrated its 117th anniversary, the club remains dedicated to assisting veterans, children, and disabled individuals in our state and local communities, as well as promoting conservation efforts around the country. These events include our annual disabled veterans fishing trip, “Fishing with Special Friends” for those with special needs, the Kids’ Trout Derby, Heroes on the Water, and presenting seminars about the importance of conservation at different sporting and outdoor shows throughout the year.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, our Tricky Tray is our sole fundraiser and we rely solely on the generosity of donors in order to hold this event each year. We are very excited to welcome over 200 guests to this year’s event and hope to obtain the support of businesses such as yours to make it a success. In return for your company’s donation of a product, a gift certificate, service, or a monetary donation, we would be pleased to provide you with:

A tax deduction to the extent allowed by law (Federal Tax ID number below);
Acknowledgement in the evening’s program, on social media, on our club website, and in an announcement at the event; and
In-person recognition at the event if a representative is in attendance.
