Description

To benefit the children of Nelson Elementary, the Nelson Parent Teacher Club (PTC) is hosting a silent auction on May 6, 2022.  The auction is part of the annual Nelson Carnival and is the PTC’s primary fundraiser for the year.  We are requesting donations, which will be used as a silent auction item at our event.
 
The Nelson PTC raises money to benefit Nelson Elementary by providing funding for library books, Accelerated Reading Program, teacher supplies, field trips, sports uniforms/equipment, and computer lab expenses.  Various extracurricular activities including: Robotics, Destination Imagination, Peach Blossom, Drama, Choir, and Oral Interpretation are also supported by the PTC.  Nelson Elementary has a high percentage of students from low-income families.  Many of our students would be unable to participate in extracurricular activities if a personal financial responsibly were required.  Therefore, the Nelson PTC is very passionate about raising sufficient funds each year, so that all of our students at Nelson can participate and enjoy all of the activities our school offers.  These programs and activities play a large role in our students’ success, character development, and overall life skills.
