Description

Dear Community Member:

We cordially invite you to support the 6th Annual Noche de Gala presents (Saturday Night Fever ) fundraiser on Saturday,  March 2, 2024  from 6-11pm. The Gala will raise funds for San Juan Children’s Education Foundation. The Foundation will utilize the proceeds to help fund critical needs for San Juan Elementary School. The Gala will be held at the  Marbella Country Club in San Juan Capistrano featuring dinner, cocktails, music, dancing, casino games,  opportunity drawings, and silent and live auctions.

San Juan Children’s Education Foundation (“SJCEF”) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization established to support  the students of San Juan Elementary School in providing every child the opportunity to achieve academic success.  Through the generous support of the Community, the Foundation has funded critical programs that include: K-3  music program, school librarian, disney musical production, college scholarship fund, outdoor science school, field trips, and teacher grants for items such as the Roary Store, robotics, STEAM Lab, sheep hearts, and much more.

As you consider a donation, the following may be of interest:

Two-Way Immersion Program - In September 2004, our school was selected to implement a Two-Way Language  Immersion program. Beginning in Kindergarten, native Spanish-speaking and native English-speaking students  study together to become bilingual and biliterate. This program offers our students the priceless gift of fluency and  literacy in two languages: English AND Spanish. In 2018, the Foundation proudly created a scholarship in honor of Silvia Mazzeo Pule, former principal of San Juan Elementary, to recognize the achievement of high school seniors who attended San Juan Elementary School and remained in the Two-Way Immersion Program through high school and receive the seal of biliteracy.

Title 1 School – The school is located across from the historic San Juan Capistrano Mission and is comprised of a  diverse group of children from San Juan Capistrano and surrounding cities. San Juan Elementary has approximately  66% of families that currently qualify as low income.

Your donation will be used in our silent auction baskets or opportunity drawings  and any monetary donations will be used to fund critical priorities for 2023-2024 that include: Musical, technology, outdoor science school,  fund Silvia Mazzeo Pule Scholarship, and more. The fundraising target is $50,000.00
