Description
One day educational conference for mothers, high school students, middle school students. High school students will focus on financial literacy and mental health. Middle school students will focus on healthy eating habits, STEM, and financial literacy. The day will culminate with a community service project for all attendees. We are seeking donors who will support:
- the aims of increasing financial literacy in African American youth in order to close the racial wealth gap
- support strategies of maintaining mental health in African American youth
We have needs for financial and in kind donations.
- items for donation to suppport our fundraising goal as a 1:1 raise toward a local non profit
- materials and facilitator for STEM activity, financial literacy interactive workshop and materials
- food items for healthy cooking demostration
- funds for visiting science musuem activity
- gift items for student or mother attendees
- snack and food items for students
All donors will have prominent marketing to our mothers and families who come from a geography of CT, MA, NY and will be convening in the Hartford, CT metropolitan area.
