Northern Sonoma County Relay for Life
Other Event Type for America Cancer Society/ Relay for LifeJul 20, 2019 10:00 AM to Jul 21, 2019 10:00 AM
At Relay for Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. The funds raised truly make a difference in the fight against cancer – just ask one of the nearly 14 million cancer survivors who will celebrate another birthday this year!
With donations from Relay for Life the American Cancer Society offers support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whether recently diagnosed, currently going through treatment, or are caring for a loved one with cancer, we’re here with information, day-to-day help, and emotional support every step of the way. From free lodging and transportation to treatments, to help making decisions about your care, we offer programs, services, and resources. Whether it’s the middle of the day or the middle of the night, our cancer information specialists are here to help.
Relay teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track at a local high school, park, or fairground. Events are 24 hours because cancer never sleeps.
The Northern Sonoma County Relay for Life is an annual event. It will be held the weekend of July 20-21 at Analy High School in Sebastopol, CA.
