Our online Christmas auction has become a pivotal part of our annual fundraising that allows us to provide support for our families. With our events in 2019, we raised $146 027! 

Many people incorrectly assume that life threatening illnesses, such as cancer, are not expensive because of Canadian Health Care plans. Unfortunately, many aspects of fighting disease are not covered by health care: transportation, groceries, hospital parking, prescriptions and more. Spending so much time in the hospital means caretakers lose income and it becomes a struggle for many to pay their bills. The Shine Through the Rain Foundation strives to prevent illness from driving patients and their families to poverty. Due to the pandemic, this year has been especially difficult for many of our patient families.

With the funding we recieve from donor events as this, we offer financial support of past-due bills, grocery cards and assistance with transportation costs to those battling life-threatening illnesses. We provide patients with care packages to make their stays in hospitals easier. When children are well enough, we fund camp scholarships and backpacks with all the supplies they will need for camp.

Contributers who donate a gift, service, or funding $100 or more, to show our appreciation, we will include your logo on our website as well as in a social media post that will reach over 2000 people. If your donation values over $200, we will include a link to your website or social media (your choice) on the auction post!
