Description

2025 marks an important milestone for SVDM: 45 years of service. From our founding in 1980, our agency has grown to meet the needs of our friends and neighbors in Middlesex County. In addition to our core Soup Kitchen program, SVDM also now offers a wide spectrum of services that center our clients and prioritize their individual needs, including the Amazing Grace Free Community Market and Supportive Housing services. These programs are just a few examples of the crucial work that SVDM is doing every day—work that would not be possible without the support of our valued community partners. For this reason, Open Your Heart 2025 is intended to celebrate both our organization’s legacy and our path towards a brighter future.

Set to be held on May 8 at St. Clements Castle in Portland, CT, Open Your Heart is SVDM’s most important fundraiser. Contributions from donors like you will be instrumental in ensuring that we are able to support families in need throughout our community. All sponsorship dollars will fund our programs directly, as other SVDM community partners have generously donated both the food and the venue for this event. In addition to raising critical funds to support the community we all love, Open Your Heart offers supporters a great opportunity for brand visibility and networking, with 200 guests from Middlesex County typically in attendance.
