This request is made in support of our May 2, 2020, People with Purpose Pink Tie Gala, an event we host annually to support our efforts to provide post-surgical products and services to under-served breast cancer patients in the San Francisco Bay Area. Examples of items we give to our low income and under-insured patients include pocketed bras and breast forms (prostheses), compression garments, and wigs and other head coverings. Our organization is unique in the Bay Area in that we don’t turn away patients due to their financial circumstances. Our work ensures that breast cancer survivors have access to the products they need to help them heal and feel whole again. We've been in continuous operation since 1998 and operate three Bay Area locations. We’re on track to give away $182K worth of products to patients in need by the end of our current fiscal year. We support our work through foundation grants and donations, and fundraising, including our annual Pink Tie Gala. If granted, your donation will be part included in an Adventure-themed Silent Auction basket and will help us reach our $100K fundraising. With your permission, we'll acknowledge your donation in writing, on our social media platforms, in our pre- and post-event newsletters and press releases, and in our event collateral, including our program and signage.
